It also benefits from its proximity to Pitlochry with its famous Festival Theatre and Dam & Fish Ladder.

Self catering holiday property in the beautiful Perthshire area of the Highlands of Scotland. Summary of facilities.

Woodside Cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Strathtay in a very quiet and peaceful setting just 4 miles from the town of Aberfeldy.

The cottage, which was built in 1896, has recently been fully renovated and offers comfortable and well appointed accommodation. In the adjoining village of Grandtully there is one hotel and further local facilities of pubs, restaurants and shops can be found in the lovely town of Aberfeldy, just 5 miles away.

In Strathtay itself there is an interesting 9-hole golf course within walking distance of the house. The course is rarely busy, thus making it ideal for holiday golf for all the family. There are also excellent 18-hole golf courses at Aberfeldy, Kenmore and Pitlochry. Grandtully is famous for canoeing on the rapids and white water rafting from Kenmore to Grandtully is becoming ever more popular. Fishing on the River Tay is also popular.

If you are visiting this lovely area from another part of the UK, you will be delighted to find that this part of Scotland is quite a stronghold of the otherwise very rare red squirrel. You don't even need to leave the house to be able to see them as they can be spotted regularly in our garden!
